Tenby is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Pembrokeshire. The quaint harbour town is a picturesque place to stay with its cobbled streets and old town walls.
Famed for its gorgeous, long golden beaches with the choice of five to pick from, the opportunity to delight in the sand and the sea is plentiful in Tenby. North Beach is lined with colourful cliffside town houses and is great for bathing and sea dips. At the end of North Beach, you’ll find the idyllic Harbour Beach where you can sit back and watch the activity of boats coming in and out. Castle Beach is another firm favourite, with gorgeous golden sands looking out to St Catherine’s Island. Take a trip out by boat to see the Island’s Napoleonic Fortress, guaranteed to be a fun-filled ride! Joined onto Castle Beach, you have the small patch of beach named The Paragon. Walking on from here, you’ll reach the 1.5 mile long stretch of South Beach. South Beach has a vast expanse of sand and plenty of space for seaside fun and activities. There is plenty to explore and you will be spoilt for choice with pubs and restaurants in the town, as well as being able to access the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline. There are all sorts of quirky shops to venture in to, as well as a surf shop where you can hire paddle boards and surf boards.
